Shin & Allen
Grand Park City Hall, Singapore is a sumptuous hotel. It has that undescribable “something”. Maybe it is the love in the air. This is the hotel where Shin met Allen. One day, when they were both working, they found themselves in the unforgettable Park Palace restaurant within the hotel and they began to fall in love. This is the perfect place for a romance to blossom. Impeccable decor, food to die for, atmosphere. No wonder at least 3 people recommended this restaurant to me during my short stay in Singapore. They didn’t realise I was already heading there – to photograph Shin & Allen. How could I resist photographing Shin & Allen on their wedding day at the place where they first met?
Shin and Allen are a gorgeous couple. They are so very much in love, and they have such a lovely extended family, that they celebrated twice. I was there to document their nutptials in front of Shin’s family in Singapore. Only a week earlier my good friend, US Photographer, Cliff Mautner had the pleasure of capturing their wedding in Hong Kong, with Allen’s friends and family. Shin & Allen, I hope my images do your remarkable day, justice.
For all those brides who, after looking at these images, are dying to know the details, here are the little things that made Shin & Allen’s day so beautiful….
Shin’s incredible dress & shoes – Oscar de la Renta
Flowers like I have never seen at a wedding – Fiore Docato – . A floral dream. Spectacular.
Ceremony & Reception were at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. (Thanks to Nellie Sin the Events Manager who made the day run so smoothly).
Other locations featured in the images below… the old Supreme Court of Singapore, National Museum of Singapore & the new Sky Park at Marina Bay Sands.
Shin & Allen, thank you for giving me some wonderful memories. I hope I have returned the gesture with images that will let you relive the memory of this day, over and over. May you make many many more beautiful memories together.

Beautiful work Marcus. Very elegant.
I was in Singapore early this year and I loved it. I missed the famous Chilly Crab.
