Alison & Chris – Flaxton Gardens Wedding
It is always nice to get feedback. We love what we do but our whole aim is to have the people we photograph love what we do too. If they love the images we’ve taken for them and the way we did it, then we have given them something they will treasure always. You don’t get to do that in too many jobs.
Just recently one of our lovely brides took the time to write to us her thoughts. When you get busy with all the usual day to day business administration stuff, it is so good to get a reminder in your inbox like this:
“Dear Studio Impressions,
I am sorry it has taken me this long to write this email – I have found it hard to write since I honestly don’t know how to thank you enough for everything you did for us.
It was just so lovely to have Adam as our wedding photographer – I first met Adam when he photographed my best friend ( and beautiful bridesmaid ) Renee’s wedding to the lovely Tristan about 7 years ago. The photos from their day are just so special and I always secretly hoped that one day I would have the same wonderful experience that they did. I am so happy to be able say that I did.
Adam, thank you so much for all that you did for us. Our wedding photos are truly just magical and we will treasure them always. You managed to capture everything about our day so beautifully and naturally. It was such a pleasure to share our day with you – your quiet and unobtrusive nature, professionalism and dedication made the day such an easy and happy one for everyone.
Chris and I had a lovely afternoon at the studio enjoying the slideshow. It was just beautiful and we both shed a tear or two. I have loved sharing all my photos with our friends and family – absolutely everybody has had nothing but praise for you and our beautiful wedding photos. We are just so thrilled with them that I cannot wait to pick our favourites for our album. This is something that is proving very difficult for us as we love all of the photos!!! ….
With heartfelt thanks and gratitude,
Alison & Chris Luther xxx”
Alison & Chris were married at Flaxton Gardens on the Sunshine Coast. Adam was (obviously) the photographer, and as usual got some fantastic shots which I’ve shared below. Her wedding dress was by the ever talented Wendy Makin whose also dressed the bridesmaids under the label Bella Donna Bridesmaids. Mondo Floral Designs was responsible for the very pretty floral creations and the wedding cake, by Cake Designs
Alison & Chris, thank you so much for trusting us to share your special day. I know Adam enjoyed every single minute of photographing your wedding and working with you in the planning before and album design since. Thank you for taking the time to write to us and know that it was our absolute privilege to be invited to tell your wedding story. We wish you every happiness always.

Fridays always make me feel like taking off for the weekend to sit by the beach somewhere, sip something cold & just chill for a bit. The downside of my job is that weekends are usually busy so I can’t just disappear. Mostly I see this as an upside except for the odd moment…

Yesterday was the birthday of a lovely wedding planner and stylist that we know, Trudy from Lovebird Weddings She celebrated in her usual impeccable style with a stunning outdoor celebration. It made me think of the shoot Aurelie & I did earlier this year styled by Trudy and showcasing the newly renovated Venue: Spicers Tamarind…

With our recent exciting news about Aurelie making the Top 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography, I thought you might like to see one of her recent weddings. This is the gorgeous wedding of Tifani & Reyhan at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Tifani & Reyhan are two of the loveliest…

Shakespeare said it best: “If music be the food of love, play on”. Rachel and Lai have a life filled with music. They are both singers – AMAZING singers. They both grew up surrounded by music. Now they are both part of the fantastic team at RUSH Entertainment & Events. If you have ever seen…

If you have never been to Lake Weyba on the Sunshine Coast you should go. Lake Weyba Cottages is one of my favourite family getaways. Penny & I have been there a few times, just the two of us, to relax, think, plan, escape. It is great for couples with a series of little cottages…

Just a few weeks ago I photographed a beautiful wedding at Spicers Peak Lodge. It wasn’t a big wedding – just close friends and family. There were loads of pretty touches and some great entertainment (RUSH was the chosen band). But what really made this day stand out to me was how close everyone…

When Katrina & David chose the natural surrounds of O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat as the setting for their beautiful wedding, nature gave them, (and me), a little more than we bargained for. With winds around 80km/hour at times, the weather proved a bit of a challenge on the day. It might have blown a few trees across the…

If you have ever been to our studio, you will have been served a coffee from our favourite place Tognini’s Bistro Cafe Deli, which lucky for us, is also just upstairs from Studio Impressions. We figure, why try & brew our own when the experts are right above our front door. The Tognini family…

TIme for another great wedding by Adam. We photograph a lot of Brisbane couples getting married on the Sunshine Coast. Chloe & Jonathan did the opposite. They are a Sunshine Coast couple who chose to have their wedding in beautiful Brisbane. Chloe got dressed with a quintessential view of Brisbane from the Stamford Plaza before leaving for their…

I love flowers. Nothing makes me smile like a bunch of fresh flowers on my table, by my bed, or delivered to my door (hint hint). When we planted some gardens recently I wanted plants with flowers. I don’t care if the magnolias attract bees or that I have to scoop frangipanis out of my pool every…
