Sara & Zac’s Hillstone Wedding
Oct 20th
Adam recently photographed the wedding of Sara & Zac, a great couple with smiles that warm your heart. Adam took some stunning images of their ceremony at St John’s Cathedral. I love these images because you can feel the combination of the intensity of their love and the seriousness of the commitment that Sara and Zac are making to each other in these images. Sometimes with all the detail we forget just how momentous this day is, and how important the ceremony is. Adam has done a great job of capturing this. Sara & Zac had their reception at Hillstone St Lucia, which, as always, looked absolutely gorgeous and decorated the grand ballroom especially for them. Zac and Sara incorporated a very special touch to their day. Zac is Bulgarian so the highlight of the reception was a Bulgarian band and dancing until the wee hours.
Thanks Sara & Zac for choosing Studio Impressions to photograph your very special day. May your smiles stretch on forever.
Jacinta & Douglas Riverfire Wedding
Sep 16th
Riverfire, the ultimate celebration of this beautiful city we live in. Brisbane comes alive. Nothing beats it.
The only thing better than standing at the water’s edge, favourite drink in hand, special person by your side, watching the sky light up over the Story Bridge with all your closest mates, is starting your married life this way. A Riverfire wedding is something special. Jacinta and Douglas knew this and took full advantage, creating a wedding day that was nothing short of spectacular.
Given that this year was the “QBE Riverfire”, with the whole shebang sponsored by QBE Insurance, and QBE also happens to be Douglas’ employer, I was expecting that this might be a pretty amazing wedding. I was right.
After their ceremony at the magnificent St Stephen’s Cathedral, Jacinta and Douglas chose the perfect venue for a Riverfire wedding, holding their reception right on the Brisbane River at the stunning Stamford Plaza Hotel.
Jacinta’s dress and headpieces were a perfect mix of classicaly elegant and modern sophistication. I couldn’t help but reflect this in the images by mixing it up with some timeless, classic shots as well as doing something a little more modern in some new locations.
Thanks Jacinta and Douglas for giving me one of the best spots in Brisbane, for watching the QBE Riverfire and seeing the F111s fly our skies for the last time. Most of all, thanks for letting me be part of one of the most beautiful, memorable weddings. What a wonderful way to start your life together!

Sarah, Our Brisbane Bride Cover
Jan 10th
We are very excited to say that a Studio Impressions’ bride, Sarah Iriks, was selected as the Cover Bride for the 2011 Edition of Brisbane Bride Magazine. Congratulations Sarah! You look like a model! Beautiful.
For photographers and Brides in Brisbane, being selected as the Cover of this magazine is a HUGE compliment, and a hotly contested selection process. Hundreds of images of Brides that have been married in the past year are submitted by Queensland’s professional photographers, and the staff at Brisbane Bride have the unenviable task of choosing between some amazing photos of the gorgeous women of Brisbane. Having been Sarah’s wedding photographer and seeing in person the radiant beauty of this girl, I am not surprised she was chosen. You might remember me raving about Sarah’s wedding to her equally handsome man, Budhi, in a previous post, but their big day is also profiled in the mag, so pick up a Brisbane Bride & read all the details. When you do, you’ll also find Malisa & Daniel’s wedding featured for even more inspiration and ideas.
