Brisbane Wedding – Chloe & Jonathan
May 15th
TIme for another great wedding by Adam.
We photograph a lot of Brisbane couples getting married on the Sunshine Coast. Chloe & Jonathan did the opposite. They are a Sunshine Coast couple who chose to have their wedding in beautiful Brisbane. Chloe got dressed with a quintessential view of Brisbane from the Stamford Plaza before leaving for their ceremony at St Andrews Uniting Church. They finished the night with another beautiful river view from Moda Events Portside. Chloe wore a Henry Roth dress and carried flowers by A Sculpted Leaf. The Brow Bar helped to make her even more beautiful than she already was.
The best thing about this wedding though was that it was a real family affair. Chloe’s Mum is an event planner and what better event to plan than your own daughter’s wedding? By planning it together, you know that everything had a personal touch. The ceremony too was special. Jonathan’s Dad is a pastor and had the unique opportunity to be the person that declared them husband and wife. How cool would that be? Getting to marry off your son – literally!
Adam caught all of it in the these fantastic images.
Chloe & Jonathan, thanks for letting Studio Impressions be part of your day. We hope these images always remind you of the love and bond your family obviously shares.
Villa Botanica Celebration – Khylie & Leisha
Apr 16th
Been dying to share these amazing images from Adam with you. This was a commitment ceremony that he absolutely loved photographing – not just because of the venue - Villa Botanica in the glorious Whitsundays – but because of the people. So I asked Adam to put down a few words about it…….
From Adam:
“I have a love for capturing people’s love, emotions and relationships. It is this passion that drew me to photograph weddings in the first place, and it remains a steadfast constant through my work. When Leisha & Khylie asked me to be part of their plans, I was immediately excited because here were two people who regardless of the laws and conventions of the time, wanted to gather their close friends and family together and celebrate their love and commitment for each other. That is really what it is all about - love – that connection between two people and the love of all those that support them.”
Khylie & Leisha both looked fantastic in dresses that were by Elizabeth de Varga and Bridal 93, and the venue, well it speaks for itself doesn’t it! This just looked like a fantastic day in every way. No wonder you couldn’t wipe the smiles off everyone’s faces! Good job again Mr Finch.
Khylie and Leisha, thank you so much for choosing Studio Impressions to capture this special day for you. I know that Adam loved every minute of it!
Toni & Daniel
Jan 30th
Regardless of the weather, lovers are still getting hitched. So despite all the upheaval the recent rains have brought, we have found a little bit of peace and happiness in all the weddings we have photographed these past few months. At least those dark clouds look great in the images I took at Toni & Daniel’s recent wedding.
I’ve been meaning to share this fantastic wedding for quite a few weeks now. Toni & Daniel are just the nicest couple you could meet. You can tell that just by looking at their photos. I seemed to have a lot of images where they were being given big hugs and cuddles by their friends & family or by each other. Of course. After spending time with them, I wanted to give them a big hug too. Their stunning and emotional wedding was at Maleny Manor and Mondo Floral Design provided the perfectly formed bouquets of Toni & her bridesmaids.
Congratulations Toni & Daniel, and thanks so much for choosing me as your photographer. You made me smile, you made me laugh and I loved every minute of photographing your fantastic wedding.

Marie & Fabio – Brisbane Wedding
Jan 19th
There are some weddings where the images just tell you so much about the people. The love between the couple just oozes off the page, and the expressions of their family and friends tell you all you need to know about what kind of people they are. This is one of those weddings. Add to that the size of their bridal party and a jam-packed dance floor and you just KNOW that Marie & Fabio are great people. Marie and Fabio first met over 12 years ago, but it wasn’t until late 2009 that they started dating. Within 6 months, Fabio knew that Marie was the girl that he wanted to marry. Choosing their favorite breakfast haunt as the perfect intimate venue, Fabio proposed by slipping a diamond engagement ring over the straw of her juice and getting down on one knee to propose. What a simple, romantic way to say – I love this life that we lead together. Have breakfast with me everyday for the rest of our lives. Now I don’t know if he actually said that but you know, actions speak louder and all that… Whatever he said, it worked!
Marie & Fabio ’s service was performed by a close family friend Fr Pat Doran at St Stephen’s Cathedral and celebrated all night with a reception at Moda Events Portside. With the help of the ever lovely Danielle from White + White Weddings & Events, Marie & Fabio had a truly stylish and just perfect wedding day. And Adam was the lucky guy that got to capture it all. Marie’s custom made gown, with a train over 3 metre long designed by Brad Webb from Darb Bridal Couture, was complimented by Giuseppe Zanotti sandals that Marie flew to Melbourne to purchase. The bridesmaids were dressed in Rachel Gilbert dresses encrusted in Swarovski Crystals, with Abigail Johnston and Linda Watt taking care of Hair and Make-up, and making these gorgeous girls look even more so. Fabio, one of Brisbane’s favorite baristas, opened one of his coffee shops between the service and reception, for a very special customer, his new wife, making her and the bridal party’s coffees. No mean feat dressed in a three piece suit. The reception was themed with Tiffany Chairs, brought in especially for the occasion, and it was made extra special with 80cm grand floral centerpieces from Baggaley’s Florist, who also created the beautiful bouquets on the day . That stunning 8 tier cake - Cake & Icing Centre , which was made quite the highlight during its cutting with a fireworks display organized with the help of Spectrum Fireworks. But what really made this wedding so beautiful, was the people, and what they mean to each other.
Marie & Fabio, thanks for choosing Studio Impressions to be part of your magical day. I know that Adam loved every minute of being your photographer – and it shows in these images. We wish for you a lifetime of this kind of love.
Sirromet Winery Wedding – Andrea & Anthony
Aug 24th
Just had to share with you the wedding of Andrea & Anthony photographed by Adam. This was a great wedding with lots of little touches and traditions that were a reflection of them. They had lots of flowers, a string quartet, Pacific Island dancers, and Andrea’s favourite band from PNG. And there were lots and lots of hugs & kisses from family & friends. Andrea got ready at the Marriot Hotel and their ceremony & reception were at the Sirromet Winery. Andrea looked amazing in her Elizabeth de Varga dress and the flowers by Julie Vine just set the whole thing off. Their wedding was colourful, warm and really special.
Adam told me a great story about how Anthony proposed to Andrea, that I hope they don’t mind I share. Anthony took her on a surprise trip to Melbourne where he had planned a romantic proposal. Trouble was, Andrea had other ideas about what she wanted to do in Melbourne. She wasn’t keen on going out to dinner or going for a walk along the river…every opportunity and idea that Anthony had, Andrea had another one. On the last day of their trip, after exhausting all options, Anthony just took a chance and proposed in a beautiful old Melbourne back street. Not exactly what he had planned, but he still got the answer he was hoping for.
Thanks for asking Adam to capture your day and for inviting us into a little bit of your happiness.

Ivy & Ju bring Korea and China to Brisbane Wedding
Jul 28th
Ivy & Ju just came in to finish the design of their wedding album. I asked them what the most memorable part of their day was and this is what Ju said…. “When we were standing and facing one another. We felt so emotional. It reminded me how many years we had waited for this moment together.”
What a beautiful thing to say. I knew what he meant. It wasn’t that Ivy & Ju had had a really really long relationship. He was referring to all the time before they were together too. He was talking about that long journey we all take to find that person - the one that makes us feel complete. Ivy is that person for him. Their love makes me smile.
Ivy, from China & Ju, from Korea meant that their wedding was a wonderful mix of their western lives and their Chinese and Korean heritage. It was colourful, musical, beautiful. Their family & friends, including Ivy’s mum travelled all the way from China and Korea to see them marry here in Brisbane – their new home. And Brisbane did not disappoint. The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony in the heart of our city at Roma St Parklands. Perfect for getting in a Porsche and heading to the Hilton for the reception. Perfect for a glorious wedding, with a touch of magic from The little white wedding company, Styled Events and Always Fabulous Flowers. And almost as good as Ivy in her Vera Wang dress and Gucci shoes. Then of course there was the cake (you’ll see what I mean in the photos) – that is the work of the talented Greg from Sweetums.
The most memorable part of the day for me…..Ju’s Dad taking to the stage in traditional Korean costume to sing a special song to Ivy & Ju in Korean. I didn’t understand it, but I loved it!
Ivy & Ju I hope in these photos, I’ve given you that moment, forever, and I wish you many many more special moments together.
