Sunshine Coast Wedding – Jane & Ben
May 28th
Marcus is somewhere in Paris right now in the middle of a busy seminar series and en route to a Tuscan wedding. He asked me to post this because it is just too good to leave until he gets back. He’s right – it is quite special. Actually, it is totally gorgeous!!
This is the wedding of Jane & Ben, just a few weeks ago, photographed jointly by Marcus & Adam. Trudy from Lovebird Weddings helped Jane & Ben plan this divine event at Spicers Clovelly Estate on the Sunshine Coast. Jane’s style was inspired by the wedding of Kate Moss. I think this is better than that. If only I could step straight into those photographs myself….. I should have asked Marcus & Adam if I could carry the bags…..sigh.
I completely love Jane’s simple and elegant look. Her hair was done by Evalyn Parsons & makeup by her good friend Angie. Mondo Floral Designs created her bouquet and the flowers that were everywhere. So romantic. And even though I wasn’t there I have no doubt this was a rockin’ reception because the band they chose was RUSH and they know how to start a party. Impossible to stay in your seat when they are playing.
What I love most though is the bursting-with-excitement look that Ben seems to carry throughout the whole day. And why not wear your happiness on your sleeve? Or on the inside pocket of your jacket as the case may be….
Ben & Jane, on behalf of Marcus, Adam & the rest of the team at Studio Impressions, we wish you a married life as beautiful and happy as your wedding day.
Toni & Daniel
Jan 30th
Regardless of the weather, lovers are still getting hitched. So despite all the upheaval the recent rains have brought, we have found a little bit of peace and happiness in all the weddings we have photographed these past few months. At least those dark clouds look great in the images I took at Toni & Daniel’s recent wedding.
I’ve been meaning to share this fantastic wedding for quite a few weeks now. Toni & Daniel are just the nicest couple you could meet. You can tell that just by looking at their photos. I seemed to have a lot of images where they were being given big hugs and cuddles by their friends & family or by each other. Of course. After spending time with them, I wanted to give them a big hug too. Their stunning and emotional wedding was at Maleny Manor and Mondo Floral Design provided the perfectly formed bouquets of Toni & her bridesmaids.
Congratulations Toni & Daniel, and thanks so much for choosing me as your photographer. You made me smile, you made me laugh and I loved every minute of photographing your fantastic wedding.

Choosing your Wedding Photographer
Jan 27th
Regular readers of our blog would have worked out that we do a lot of weddings on the Sunshine Coast. And why not? The Sunshine Coast & surrounding hinterland offers so many unique places for a wedding. The new Sunshine Coast Brides Magazine has hit the shelves and this edition they asked Studio Impressions to draw on our experience as wedding photographers to give their readers some tips on choosing a photographer. Click here for a link to the article and my personal thoughts on choosing someone to photograph your day. Most of it is common sense, but I hope it helps some brides-to-be out there!
Maleny Wedding – Karen & Trent
Sep 29th
I get to meet some great people in this job.
The day before Karen and Trent’s wedding, there was a terrible car accident out the front of the cottage they were staying in. They did not think twice about rushing to the aid of the occupants, administering first aid in a pretty scary situation.
This is Karen and Trent. They care so much about others and the world they live in, that they will put everything else ahead of themselves. I knew this even before the wedding: when I asked where they were going for their honeymoon, their reply was Fiji to (wait for it) volunteer in a vet surgery in Suva!
What is even more gobsmacking about all this, is that one of the occupants in the car turned out to be Trent’s cousin. After a night in hospital, he came to the wedding with a broken collar bone. Fortitude must run in the family!
The character of these two just shone at this wedding. Karen’s speech has to have been the most beautiful & touching speech of a bride to her groom that I have ever heard. I’ve been touched many times listening to speeches, but never before been stopped in my tracks. Trent – you should have gone first mate- there was no way to top that! Smart man though, he got up and honestly replied, “I’m speechless. How can I say anything after those magical words from my wife?” Perfect.
You might say these two are so lucky to have each other, but I actually think the rest of us are lucky to have this couple in our world. Thanks Karen and Trent for giving me the opportunity to meet you. I hope my photos give you some memories to hold onto. You have given me some.
Karen & Trent got married at beautiful Maleny Manor and Margaret of Hare’s Hair did a fantastic job on Karen and her bridesmaids.
More from Brieanna & Luke’s Maleny Wedding
Jun 16th
My recent post gave you a sneak peak of the magic at Brieanna and Luke’s Maleny wedding. You’ll see from the images here that rainbows and downpours were just part of the beauty of the day.
For Brieanna and Luke’s family and friends, there is a link to all the images taken at the end of the post. Contact Brieanna and Luke for your access password.
For all you brides to be who love the details:
Brieanna’s gorgeous dress was courtesy of Elizabeth de Varga
Brieanna got ready at the House of Laurels where the reception was also held. As always, they did a fantastic job.
Luke got ready at a private holiday house called The Knoll. What a fantastic place (and a great website too – check it out). I am going to try to get back here.
The Ceremony was at the new Little White Wedding Church.
The amazing bouquets and floral arrangements were by Mondo Floral Designs.
Thanks again Brieanna and Luke for sharing a little of your magic with me.

Brieanna & Luke’s Maleny Wedding
May 20th
It just doesn’t get better than this.
Brieanna and Luke’s Maleny wedding was simply magical. Between their ceremony at the new “The Little White Wedding Church” and their reception, just down the road at one of my favourite venues, “House of Laurels”, we got to drink in some of the true beauty of this place. Double full rainbows and burst’s of sunshine, followed by a short but memorable downpour. wow.
Fortunately Luke’s Best Man arrived with the umbrella just in the nick of time. I however, got completely soaked! It was worth every drop. Who says magic doesn’t happen everyday?
