When Stephanie married Julian, the weather was against them. It had been raining for awhile and was pouring on the morning of their big day. They had a spectacular wedding planned in Noosa, with a beach location shoot, pre-dinner drinks on the lawn and reception at Sails Restaurant overlooking the beach. That morning, I looked to the skies and started preparing my Plan B. An outdoor location shoot was not looking likely.
Sometimes I think Mother Nature has a soft spot for some people. Just before Stephanie & Julian’s wedding was to begin, at St Andrews Church, the rain stopped. The skies cleared and everything was really beautiful. It was like Mother Nature said,”these two deserve all they wish for“. If you met Stephanie & Julian, you would think so too.
There was so much colour at this wedding, how could it be dappened with rain? Stephanie was glowing in her Phillipa Lepley dress, and the colourful theme flowed right through to the Christina Kim bridesmaid’s dresses. Stephanie & Julian had the biggest wedding so far held at Sails. The room was seriously filled with flowers, flowers and more flowers courtesy of the wonderful Julie Vine Flowers. Sails looked something special. The food was amazing & the cake by Cakes by Judy C, fantastic. It was one of the best wedding receptions I had been to in a long time. You could not help but feel happy. The guests obviously enjoyed it all too, filling the dance floor to some great music. Stephanie & Julian don’t live locally, so to pull it all off so effortlessly they enlisted the help of Leah from Rush Entertainment & Events. Leah did a fantastic job of organising everything from guest activities the day before to the styling of the event and the entertainment that all just fit these two so well. Hastings Street was rockin’ that night.
Turns out I never needed a Plan B. Stephanie & Julian are proof that sometimes, when you are willing to let a little colour into your life, the rain just goes away.
